A 12 member committee has been formed to oversee the Athlone Croí na hÉireann Festival in 2023, it has been confirmed.

The Athlone Croi na hÉireann festival committee will host an AGM in The Bounty Bar and Restaurant on Monday, November 28, at 8pm.

National pride was most evident this past weekend as the local community united in full support of the five day Croi na hÉireann Festival which culminated in a well attended St Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday afternoon.

An air of vibrant national pride is certain to pervade within the heart of the local community as the Croi na hÉireann five day festival graces Athlone this week.

The Croi na hEireann Festival committee has finalised details of all activities to take place during the five day event in recognition of the national feast day in March.

A steering group comprising of Westmeath County Council Cathaoirleach, Cllr Frankie Keena, Athlone Chamber of Commerce CEO, Gerry McInerney and John Henson will host a public meeting in The Bounty on Monday, November 1, at 8.45pm, the focal point of which will be to establish a working committee to oversee the running of the Croi na hEireann Festival in March 2022 to coincide with St Patrick’s Day.
